Welcome to the CEDCO - CHRF Blog

CEDCO
The Greater Victoria Community Economic Development Corporation, or CEDCO Victoria, is a non-profit community economic development corporation operating in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.

We are a member of the Canadian CED Network, as well as the British Columbia CED Network and the Canadian Co-op Association, and work closely with local community groups and government.

Our vision is a sustainable community economy open to all - a Greater Victoria where everyone who has the ability can meet their needs within the market economy and where all who want to work may do so.

Our mandate is to relieve poverty and develop economic opportunities for low income people living in Greater Victoria. We do this by working with others to develop solutions and create supportive infrastructure.

CHRF
The Canadian Housing Research Foundation (CHRF) is a charitable organization that was formed with input from the Capital Region Housing Corporation. Since its incorporation in 1998 the Foundation has been inactive, but has remained in good standing with Revenue Canada. In the fall of 2001 CEDCO Victoria was offered the unique opportunity of operating the Foundation.
